The main treatment methods of kitchen waste and the working principle of trough organic fertilizer fermentation equipment

2022/06/27

Crushing and direct discharge treatment: crushing and direct discharge treatment is the main method used to treat a small amount of food waste in European and American countries. It is to directly crush the food waste at the source, then wash it with water, discharge it into the sewer network, merge it with urban sewage, and finally enter the urban sewage treatment plant for centralized treatment. The crushing method is mainly used to deal with a small amount of waste, such as household kitchen waste. It has the advantages of low price, simple and convenient operation and reduced collection.

Landfill treatment: like other wastes, food waste in most parts of China is mainly landfilled: food waste is collected and treated in a centralized manner, and then transferred to the landfill treatment center for unified landfill treatment. Landfill treatment has simple operation and low labor cost. However, with the deepening understanding of the utilization of food waste in recent years, the use of this method is gradually reduced, and the landfill treatment of food waste is even prohibited in some places.

Energy treatment: energy treatment refers to the incineration of food waste into useful energy. Waste incineration is carried out in special incineration equipment, which can convert the heat energy generated into electric energy, so as to achieve the effect of recycling. Due to the high moisture content of food waste, a large number of auxiliary materials need to be added in the incineration, resulting in a waste of resources, and a large number of harmful gases will be generated in the incineration process, resulting in air pollution.

Tank type organic fertilizer fermentation equipment: generally, a partition wall is built on the cement floor for tank type fermentation (for thermal insulation, sunken pits are also built in northern areas). A guide rail is laid at the top of the partition wall. The dumper walks on the guide rail and is equipped with a rail changing mechanism. The dumper can be moved from one tank to another. The depth of the tank ranges from 0.7 m to 2.5 m, and some are paved with vent pipes at the bottom of the tank to increase the ventilation. The tank fermentation dumper has the advantages of large processing capacity, small land occupation, simple operation and driverless operation. It is especially suitable for enterprises requiring sealed treatment and control environment. The waste gas can be treated in a centralized way, which can be used by large, medium and small organic fertilizer plants. However, due to the need to build tanks, the fermentation field is fixed, which has certain limitations, and the air permeability is not as good as that of strip stack type. At present, some trough tippers with a tipping depth greater than 1.5m are generally designed with oxygenation devices to increase air permeability, which is a good improvement.
