Double screw compost turner: The trump card of organic fertilizer production?

2025/09/28

In the organic fertilizer production workshops of foreign farms, one piece of equipment always stands out: the  double screw compost turner. Why is it the preferred choice of so many farmers? And how does it work with other fertilizer equipment to create an efficient production chain? The answer lies in its unique design and powerful synergy.

The double screw compost turner's trump card is straightforward: its two spiral blades operate synchronously, turning the fermented material deeply while also providing uniform mixing and allowing for sufficient oxygen penetration. This completely solves the problem of traditional compost turners, which often experience poor turning and clumping. For farms processing large quantities of livestock and poultry manure and straw, it's a must-have.It not only shortens the fermentation cycle by 10-15 days but also reduces odor, meeting stringent international environmental standards.

However, achieving quality organic fertilizer requires more than just a compost turner. Before the raw materials enter the fermentation room, a  drum screener machine removes impurities, preventing rocks and plastic from interfering with fermentation. After fermentation is complete, a  chain crusher takes over, grinding the agglomerated material into a fine powder for subsequent granulation. These two devices, combined with the twin-screw compost turner, control raw material purity from the source, ensuring that every batch of organic fertilizer meets quality standards.

Even better, the twin-screw compost turner can be flexibly integrated with other equipment. For granular fertilizer production, the processed material can be directly fed into a disc granulator, where it is easily formed into uniform granules. To enhance fertilizer fertility, the microbial inoculator can be used to add functional bacteria during the fermentation process, producing highly active bio-organic fertilizer. This "core equipment + supporting tools" model perfectly meets the diverse production needs of farms worldwide. Whether small or medium-sized family farms or large agricultural bases, efficient production can be achieved through the coordinated use of these equipment.
