Why NPK is called the three elements of fertilizer?

2023/04/24

Because NPK is three kinds of nutrient elements necessary for various crops, they are indispensable, and they have a great influence on the yield of crops. As far as crops are concerned, although more than 90% of the dry matter is composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, the nutrients provided in the soil account for only 5%. This has resulted in the requirement of crops for the three elements n, p, k far greater than the supply of NPK in the soil, and the growth and development of plants are obviously restricted. Agricultural production practice has proved that in order to increase crop yield, the contradiction between the supply and demand of nutrients between soil and crops often needs to be adjusted by the application of chemical fertilizers. Practice has proved that after applying nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, crops often have obvious yield-increasing effects, which is one of the reasons why NPK fertilizer production line is becoming more and more popular among manufacturers.

NPK fertilizer production line integrates ingredients, production and packaging. It has a unique structural design and high-performance control system, which realizes the integration of single-pack batching and packaging, solves the separation of materials caused by ordinary equipment due to different material specific gravity and particle size, and improves the accuracy of batching. Common NPK fertilizer manufacturing processes include rotary drum granulation and disc granulation. The main working method of both is wet granulation, so that the shape of the obtained particles is round and beautiful.
